Come join us in this ongoing class as we color and talk about a fun kid-friendly theme each week! There are so many benefits of coloring activities for children! Some of these benefits include: - Strengthening finger, hand, and wrist muscles. - Building and reinforcing color recognition. - Improving eye-hand coordination. - Stimulating creative thinking. - Giving kids a sense of accomplishment. To encourage the students to practice their speaking skills, I will ask them some questions while...
Students will practice fine motor and creative thinking skills when coloring. They will practice listening comprehension and speaking skills during our discussion.
I have a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education and taught in primary (1st-3rd grade) classrooms for six years. I have an ESL endorsement and more than five years of experience teaching online classes for kids.
- Crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers to color with during class - Coloring page(s) -- Learners may bring any picture that fits the weekly theme. Weekly themes are at the bottom of the class listing. I will also post a reminder the day before class. Pictures may be a coloring page printed from the internet, hand drawn, or from a coloring book at home.
