This course is intended to emerge students into the world of budgeting. We will start the lesson with notes for the math vocabulary words found in this lesson. We will then go on to see what budget each will be assigned to. This will be chosen at random. Students will choose a number which will decide what their annual income will be. Please make your child aware of this part before the lesson. Even if everyone wants the highest annual income only one student will be assigned to it at random,...
Students will learn about budgeting by choosing the appropriate expenses based on their income.
This is a lesson that I have taught both in a public school with a class of 30 students and in private tutoring setting, and I have always been able to identify the misconceptions regarding this lesson. This helps me adjust the lesson to individual needs.
