課堂經歷
Let’s have some fun and build friendly Christmas creations together! Each class will be different and have a “challenge” or Christmas theme of something students can build during class time. Students are encouraged to wear something holiday related but it is not mandatory. Each student can build to the best of their ability. Beginner to advanced, boys and girls are all welcomed! Since each class is different students are encouraged to come back more than once to try new challenges and themes! This class is meant to expand imagination, creativity and confidence in a positive environment with like minded builders! All levels of builders are welcome-from beginner to advanced. We will discuss the themes together. I will give the students ideas and we will discuss landscape, surroundings, and other characteristics that they may or may not want to use while building. Together we will build, encourage, share ideas and ask and answer questions. I will encourage class participation, encouragement, and problem solving. Students can give ideas and brainstorm with their classmates if they wish. Throughout the class students are welcome to share their creations if they would like. If students would rather work on their own project then they can do that as well. Students are encouraged to participate with the group but it is not mandatory! This class is not based on building instruction specific projects, it is a free build class.

Students will be able to have Christmas fun while meeting other LEGO lovers. Each week students will have the chance to follow a theme or challenge they are provided with OR work on their own projects. All projects are up to independent student imagination and will not follow specific instructions. Students will have the chance to ask questions, answer questions, describe what they are building and show their creations if they would like. I will provide the theme and engage students while they are building!

Welcome!
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion.
My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020.
Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested.
My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.
I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
