In this early reading intermediate course for kindergarten and 1st grade, we will learn phonics skills that have long vowel sounds, practice spelling and reading. 
Great supplement for homeschool, afterschool and summer enrichment.

There are 3 activities in the classes. 
-First, going over the phonics skill (using anchor charts and/or chants) and a movement break to practice the phonics sound.
-Practice sounding out and blending words. Then read a sentence. 
-Using 3 steps to spell a word and then read a sentence. 
For the remainder of class time, we will play games to reinforce the phonics skill and reading. 

My Office Hours:
Monday-Friday 6:00 PM-9:00 PM EST
Saturday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM EST

-Through chants or songs, students will learn the long vowel sounds.
-Using graphic organizers and finger tapping, students will learn how to decode and blend phonics skills.
-Students will be introduced to long vowel markings (macron).
-Students will look for chunks in words to sound out. 
-Students will practice reading simple sentences and spelling.
Learners will practice decoding, blend, spell, write and read words and/or sentences.

 This week’s lesson, we will use an anchor chart to go over silent e’s rule and chant to practice the long a/e sounds. We will have a movement break to practice the sounds. We will use a graphic organizer, to decode and blend a word and then read a sentence. In the spelling component, we will follow 3 steps to practice spelling a silent e word and then read a sentence. For the remainder of the class, we will play games to reinforce reading silent e words with long a/e sounds.

 This week’s lesson, we will use an anchor chart to review silent e’s rule and chant to practice the long i/o sounds. We will have a movement break to practice the sounds. We will use a graphic organizer, to decode and blend a word and then read a sentence. In the spelling component, we will follow 3 steps to practice spelling a silent e word and then read a sentence. For the remainder of the class, we will play games to reinforce reading silent e words with long i/o sounds.

 This week’s lesson, we will use an anchor chart to review silent e’s rule and chant to practice the long u sound. We will have a movement break to practice the sound. For the remainder of the class, we will play games to reinforce reading silent e words with long u sound.

 This week’s lesson, we will use an anchor chart to go over the vowel team rule and chant to practice the long a sounds. We will have a movement break to practice the sounds. We will use a graphic organizer, to decode and blend a word and then read a sentence. In the spelling component, we will follow 3 steps to practice spelling a vowel team word and then read a sentence. For the remainder of the class, we will play games to reinforce reading vowel team words with long a sounds.

The lessons and/or extra practice homework will be created on Google Jamboard, Google Slides and or Google Forms in which I will share my screen with the learners. The learners won't need an account to engage in the lessons.
