Learning to play piano chords is a crucial skill for any aspiring pianist, whether you want to play popular songs, classical pieces, or even write your own music. Chords are simply two or more notes played together, and they are the building blocks of many musical compositions. In this class, we will explore the most common types of piano chords: major, minor, diminished, and more. In each class, the learner will be given a new set of chords to learn. I will demonstrate how to play each one....
Identify the fundamental elements of each of the major, minor, diminished, and augmented piano chords, including the specific notes that are used to construct each chord, their structure, and the sounds they produce. Apply the knowledge gained about the different types of chords to play and create simple chord progressions for a variety of songs in different genres such as classical, jazz, blues, and pop. Evaluate the differences in the mood and tone created by different chord types.
