Certificates of Completion are offered once I assess that the Student has fully learned the usage of the Piano & can efficiently read Letter Note Curriculum! What will be taught? Full Knowledge of the Piano Keyboard Finding/Locating/Labeling the full Piano Keyboard Hand Placement/Usage on a Piano Keyboard Reading/Playing Songs Using the Letter Note Curriculum What topics will be covered? Playing the Piano/Keyboard/Synthesizer will be covered during this class course. Each of these instruments utilize a Piano Keyboard, so the students will be able to play on any of these desired types of instruments after our 1st class. How is the class structured? Coach Dez will begin with the visualization of the Piano Keyboard & discussing what we find as we look at it. Then after brief discussion, we move on to locating our 1st note on the Piano ['D']. Coach Dez typically starts with 'D' because it is the easiest to find/remember. Then moves on to learning the Musical Alphabet & fully labeling the entire Piano, so that each note is easily identified. Then after a brief discussion about how/where to place your hands, you begin learning your 1st Piano Song played using Letter Note Curriculum! How will I teach? Coach Dez will teach using a proven methodology for learning Piano. You will walk through a 3-5 Step Process of learning/understanding the Piano & begin playing your 1st Piano Song within the 1st hour. What's the style of teaching? A very casual style of teaching is utilized throughout the course. There won't be any pressure placed on the students, nor any expectations other than PRACTICING! How much will learners get to interact with Coach Dez? All students are allowed to ask questions as needed throughout the class course. There will always be an open time slot for all students to be able to ask and remaining questions towards the end of the session.

This class session is devised for any learning needs. The conversation is light and fully digestible for all. It requires a general knowledge of the first 7 letters of the alphabet 7 the visibility to see the Piano itself!

This class is suitable for a complete Novice/inexperienced musician. No need for any prior Music experience whatsoever. This class will walk you through the process of learning from the very beginning. You will learn your 1st Piano Song!

Hey There, I'm Coach Dez! Why that name you ask? Well, I believe that teachers are responsible for providing students with information and growth/learning opportunities. Well, I believe that a coach is someone who motivates, inspires, teaches and guides through the process of experiencing that thing.....a sport.....a band.....a group of musicians, etc!
I have an impeccable ability to form, shape, guide and make MUSICIANS.....! The level of expertise is always determined by the PRACTICE HABITS OF THE INDIVIDUAL! I've watched quite a few musicians soak up the knowledge and formally apply what was given. Then I witnessed their entry into the Professional World of Music & often times their climb to success and/or fame and stardom!
I often liken the music learning journey to the act or art of working out. There are definitely different intensity levels, more sweat, varied lengths of time in the workout, etc, etc. Right? Well, all of that determines your outcome, just like it does with our bodies as we work out. It depends on what sort of exercises we are doing, at what intensity level, rate and duration. These elements all play a part in both of these practices...[all puns intended]!
