My name is Janeen Hernandez and I Live to Learn and Love it!  I love working with children!  I am a retired Elementary school teacher and have been teaching in the online community for almost 5 years with VIPKID and Outschool.    
I have so many interests and subjects I feel passionate about that I will be teaching classes in a variety of areas such as:  Easy Drawings, Geography,  Friendly competitive Kahoot! Challenges, and Beginning Spanish (I have been speaking Spanish for almost 30 years!).  
In my easy drawing classes I focus on helping each learner to be proud of their abilities and what they are able to create.  No everyone's drawing needs to be exactly like mine, but by following my easy step-by-step directed drawing instructions it is truly amazing how students are able to create drawings that are very similar, with their own creative differences!  My drawing classes will focus on popular characters such as Disney Princesses, Super Heroes, animals, seasons and holidays. I will use a 2nd overhead camera so students are able to easily see my step-by-step drawings and follow along.  
My geography classes will be mostly review including: states and capitals, European countries, capitals and flags, Asian countries, capitals, and flags, and South/Central American countries, capitals, and flags using fun and engaging games of Kahoot!.  
My Kahoot! Trivia Challenges are designed to be an engaging, relaxing, and fun as students meet new friends and compete in friendly Kahoot! Challenges including such topics as: Avenger movie trivia, DC Comics trivia, Disney movies trivia, and other topics.  Kahoot! games are a great way to reinforce knowledge and also as just a fun way to engage students through friendly competition!! 
My beginning Spanish classes will be FLEX classes so that a student can listen, repeat and practice at their own pace.  I use Nearpod lessons that incorporate pre-recorded videos, interactive games and many opportunities for the students to record themselves so that I can listen and offer suggestions for improvement. 
As a retired educator and continue to "Live to Learn and Love it" and want to share that enthusiasm with my students!  I look forward to seeing your children in one of my classes soon!
