We will show the students how to start a game (openings), learn various tactics and strategies throughout the game (middle game) and find out how to finish their opponent off (endgame). Roughly half the time will be instruction and the other part will be observed chess play whether it is playing a game of chess or doing puzzles. Teaching will be over Zoom with the use of www.lichess.org. All students should sign up for a free account and play on that account. I encourage interaction during the lecture. Audio and video should be on the entire time.

We will use www.lichess.org for playing and showing of games and positions. Students are asked to sign up for a free account so they can play fellow classmates and others (Parents: There is chatting allowed on the site so please monitor accordingly.)
