Hello, my name is Mrs. Rainey. ☔️ Welcome to my teaching profile. It’s so nice to meet you! 

• I have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University and I am certified to teach English as a second language.

• I have 8+ years of teaching experience in public schools, libraries, and the online classroom. 

• I love spending time with my two sons and together we learn something new every day! We are big fans of dinosaurs, video games, Disney movies, and Pokémon. Many of my classes are inspired by our adventures.

• My lessons are engaging, student-focused, and based on proven standards of education for elementary-age learners. I have received additional training in both literacy and math instruction. I am very passionate about teaching students the foundations of reading and math in a FUN way! My classes are full of student participation, interactive games, and educational content. Your student will be so busy having fun that they won’t even realize how much they are learning at the same time.

• I want every student to feel included in my classroom and I encourage them to participate in the lesson by asking questions and sharing ideas.💡[We are better when we learn together] I design my classes to focus on promoting the value of social and emotional intelligence as well as the importance of showing children their potential.  Children thrive in all different ways and I find great joy in helping them discover their gifts and talents.
