課堂經歷
Students will learn a brief history of origami and its origins. Rozine will walk students step by step folding a functioning two-piece gift box. In a relaxed and calm atmosphere, Rozine will guide students to use care and precision with their paper art. Gift boxes can be folded with traditional origami paper, or sturdier scrapbook paper. Pieces will be decorated with workable handles and interior stoppers. Finished box can hold jewelry, a small stone, or other tiny gifts. Students thrive...
Rozine has been folding origami shirts as part of her tips to service workers for over a dozen years. Her love of hands on crafts blossomed to include other origami items that are not only fun to look at—they function as useful tools, too!
Students will need • decorative scrapbook paper and/or origami paper (the sturdier the paper, the harder it is to fold, but the stronger the end-result is) • either a paper cutter, or a cutting mat with an Xacto blade & straight edge (used only for cutting) • a hot glue gun, elmer's glue, or Aleene's Craft glue (any paper glue will work) • a burnishing tool (this can be an actual burnishing tool, or any hard plastic with an edge, like a credit card, ID, putty knife or other scraper • have scissors on hand for decorative accessories
Inspired by Waldorf teaching methods, Rozine encourages independent thinking and creative problem solving in the classroom. Like the title of her first book, "Live Life For A Living," Rozine is living a dream making a living doing what she loves....
