Students will learn about proportion and the shapes of different facial features. As an art instructor, I like to demonstrate and teach and have learners follow as I coach them through the process. I don't mind taking extra time with learners who need more elaboration on a step; it encourages patience in their process. Art is meant to be a gift that is enjoyed and my job is to keep students encouraged and aware of the next step so that they reach completion and appreciation for the good work that they have done. 
Supplies: Paper, pencil, eraser and coloring supplies (markers, colored pencils or crayons)
