課堂經歷
This course is designed for your learner's needs in reading, writing, speaking, and all other aspects of English. We can work on fluency in speaking, reading, and writing, comprehension, all types of formal and informal writing, and any other need that might arise. Material can be from school, other courses, or what we design or agree on in sessions. English second language (ESL) students at an intermediate (B1-2) level will thrive in this class. **For the best class experience, please send any work that needs to be worked on 24 hours (or as soon as possible) prior to the class start. Please use the Outschool messaging system to upload any files as they will be automatically removed when attached to email messages. Thank you!** We offer a more informal type of tutor in the sense that we try to help encourage and bring students up to the level they need to be without harsh study hours or overly mock testing. We work systematically, mastering one skill and building on it. We place learners at similar levels together for the optimal experience. These sessions are not 1:1 but semi-private, capped at 2 learners. If you would like a one-to-one session, please message us to discuss one to one options further. We easily and quickly assess the needs of the learner in each session and adjust accordingly. Miss Ashley:
Miss Ashley graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in both education and mathematics. Later, she went on to also earn a TESOL teacher’s certificate. She has taught over 10,000+ virtual classes in all subjects over several years on different platforms. She has 18+ years of tutoring/teaching experience, both virtual and in-person, as well as 16 years+ of experience as a volunteer teacher, tutor, and coach in schools and classrooms. In addition to teaching, Miss. Ashley is part of curriculum development and review team for an online ELA and math teaching/tutoring company, where she also serves as a Learning Partner and Academic Advisor for incoming students. Other related experience includes ELA and math tutoring the University of Connecticut Student Center, substitute teaching in the public school system and working for five years as a Financial Controller of a litigation support firm with offices across the United States. Miss Ashley truly values each and every student, and she hopes to help them to find a love of learning.
