In this ongoing club, learners will develop their spoken English through Role-Play. ESL friendly. Being a successful public speaker requires children to draw on their own experiences of life, their beliefs and their own understanding of the world. Bringing this together in planning, writing and speaking gives them an opportunity to express their opinions. Public speaking is also a social activity. It reinforces the child’s confidence and promotes personal development. Children learn to perceive people, their behaviour and their reaction to what is being said. Each week will follow a different theme and the class will work to help learners develop their ideas, organise them and deliver an effective speech. Each class will also cover an important aspect of public speaking, such as making eye contact or supporting your ideas with evidence. Services (Practical, leisure, and travel): Week of 15/7/24 - Tourist information office Week of 22/7/24 - Enrolling at a gym Week of 29/7/24 - Post Office Week of 5/8/24 - Visiting the doctor Week of 12/8/24 - Internet cafe Week of 19/8/24 - Train station Week of 26/8/24 - Passport Control Week of 2/9/24 - Airport check-in desk Week of 9/9/24 - Reporting a crime Week of 16/9/24 - Checking into a hotel Week of 23/9/24 - Complaining in a hotel Week of 30/9/24 - Travel agent Shopping (Supermarkets, clothes, and restaurant): Week of 7/10/24 - Supermarket shopping Week of 14/10/24 - Clothes shop Week of 21/10/24 - DIY shop Week of 28/10/24 - Shoe shop Week of 4/11/24 - Traditional restaurant Week of 11/11/24 - Fast food restaurant Week of 18/11/24 - Out of stock Further classes will be added.
