Welcome to League of Legends class, an exciting opportunity for students to dive into one of the most popular team-based strategy games in the world!

This class is designed for players of all levels, from beginners to seasoned summoners. Over the course of our weekly sessions, students will engage in strategic gameplay, learning the ins and outs of League of Legends while developing essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.

The session will last 1 hour, but could over-run and more time will be given.
A usual match can be finished in 10 minutes, or may last for 40 minutes!
I won't want to end the class early, so a match would be started of a different match type, that is typically a shorter match/battle.

IMPORTANT: To ensure safety and privacy, we won't play 5v5 matches against human players until our class has at least four students, forming a full team of five.
Instead, we'll play against AI bots, filling any vacant team slots with AI teammates.

For instance, if only one student joins, we'll have two players, and the rest of the team will be filled with 3 AI bots, creating a balanced match against five AI opponents.
This could also make the game more enjoyable as we could win more matches!

What We’ll Cover:

~ Game Basics:
Understanding the fundamentals of League of Legends, including the map (Summoner's Rift), objectives, and game mechanics.
Familiarising with different roles (Top, Mid, Jungle, ADC, Support) and their responsibilities.

~ Champion Mastery:
Exploring a variety of champions, their abilities, and optimal playstyles.

~ Strategy and Tactics:
Developing strategies for early, mid, and late-game phases.
Understanding the importance of vision control, map awareness, and objective prioritization.
Executing effective team fights and rotations.

~ Teamwork and Communication:
Enhancing communication skills to coordinate with team members.
Learning to make quick, strategic decisions under pressure.
Building a positive and supportive team environment.

~ Skill Improvement:
Practicing last-hitting, wave management, and positioning.

Class Structure:
Each class session will be a blend of mainly gameplay, with brief discussions on tactics and reflecting on past matches and improving our performance.
Regular feedback and personalised tips will be provided to help students improve and enjoy the game to its fullest.

Please note, I am not an expert or professional player. This game is very hard against other human players!
I can teach students how to play the game and be better at it, but this is mainly a social group in a safe environment.
With that being said, we will always fight with a passion and enthusiasm to win and conquer any team we go against!
Again, until we have a full team of 5 of us, we will be playing with and against AI bots.

I will create a friendly inclusive gaming session in a safe and trustworthy environment.
Students will feel a sense unity within our team of 4 students and myself.

Mutual support and teamwork is essential! Crossing the map to support each other, as well as joining up into a 5-some and fighting together. Communication and quick verbal planning are paramount! 

And when it all pays off and we win the match, there isn't a more powerful feeling than the achievement and comradery within the team. You truly do feel proud to be a part of making it all happen and getting the win!

I'll be playing more as a friend and teammate, than an adult teacher.
