Know Your Constitution - the companion class to Know Your Rights where we study the powers of the government that are found in the seven articles of the Constitution through Supreme Court Cases. We look to understand the powers of the Supreme Court, Congress, and the Presidency through Supreme Court Cases. Why can the Supreme Court make the decisions that it does? Can the President declare war? Can Congress make you buy health insurance? After this class, students will have a more sophisticated understanding of the Constitution and how it applies to the functioning of government. You can jump into this class at any time as the lessons are designed allow easy access to new students. Here is the schedule for the January 2025 timeframe (topics subject to change).
