Week of March 27: Reading /A/ Sound- All About Me!  ❤️🌸✅
Week of April 4: Reading /T/ Sound- Trees & Plants 🌳🌱🍃💚
Week of April 10:  Reading /S/ Sound - The Sun ☀️🌤️🔆 
Each student will get resources each week for enrichment. 5-10 worksheets created by me along with tons of other resources! 

Each lesson will incorporate slides, props, songs, and activities to teach foundational concepts for kindergarten. Students will treat this class just like a real school lesson. They will come to class prepared with supplies for full engagement. Here is a breakdown of how the lessons will flow. There will always be songs incorporated to make it fun and engaging.  This list includes but is not limited to activities we will do on any given day: 

1. Mondays: Reading Literacy 
Reading component- May include: letter-sound practice, letter identification,  CVC words, blending, word families, rhyming words, sight words 
Writing component- May include: students will practice writing their letters by sound. For instance, "today we will write the /m/ sound" this helps build pre-literacy skills and reading skills. 
Grammar component- Students will learn one grammatical concept a week. 

2. Tuesdays  Math Day- 
Counting to 30 with movement 
Number recognition and identification 
Math concept introduction (number line, tallies, more and less, number bonds, etc) 
Geometry component 
 
3. Wednesday- Social Studies: Students will learn about other cultures and concepts about the societies around us. Students will also practice reading fundamentals. 

4.  Thursday Science- Students will learn a scientific concept that pertains to our theme of the week. Some math will be incorporated as a review. 

5. Friday- Review and sharing day. We will share things that begin with the sounds we learned that week, and bring the assigned craft to class to share 

Each class will be full of singing, fun, and excitement for learning!
