課堂經歷
Join Ms. Dani for a KIDS capoeira acrobatics class! Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music. This class will focus on body positions and muscle control in handstands and cartwheels, with more advanced techniques such as kick overs, falling to bridge, walkovers, front/back handsprings being added as they progress. For kids with some experience (Capoeira students or other experience), we will place more focus on muscle control to help clean up their moves. General instructions: 1. Please wear comfortable clothes for online classes 2. Keep hydrated during classes, have your water bottle with you. 3. We use Zoom as the video conferencing tool. Please install Zoom before class, and turn on your camera during the class, so that the instructor can give you feedback during the session. Please use your first name as the Zoom screen name. Lastly, I'll thank everyone and invite them to join multi-session courses if they're interested.

Hello! My name is Dani, and I'm so excited to meet you here on Outschool. I started capoeira when I was 7 years old! Both of my parents practice and teach capoeira for over 35 years and I've been teaching kids ages 3-14 for over a decade. Capoeira to me is a way to become better than you've ever been.. and to keep improving .. the learning never stops whether you're a student or a teacher.. That's what makes CAPOEIRA so special to me!
We are a family of Capoeiristas! Father, Mother and Daughter (me!). From the moment you enter our school, you will feel and sense the utmost positive energy and family oriented atmosphere. Capoeira is a super FUN Afro-Brazilian Martial Art that incorporates music, dance, acrobatics, Portuguese language and community.
FUN fact: I taught Capoeira to Debby Ryan last year for a Netflix show here in Atlanta! She learned Capoeira Kicks, Acrobatics and Self-Defense moves in less than 2 weeks!!
I'm thankful to be able to teach capoeira to so many kids over a decade, and I am equally blessed to be able to do what I love with a team I love..
When I'm not teaching or training, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and watching movies.
