In this 4 session self-paced course we will learn some fun and delicious recipes for muffins and quick breads. There will be no live sessions for this course. You will be able to complete the sessions on your schedule and then post your final products on the classroom page. New recipes, videos, assignments, and fun extension activities will be added each week or if you choose you can access everything at once and complete in whatever order you wish. In each video I will break down the steps for the recipes and demonstrate the entire recipe from start to finish. As part of each week's assignment, I will extend a challenge to modify the current recipe. You can add additional ingredients, change the form of the item, show a way to decorate, etc. Then, you can describe the modification, post a picture, or both. Testing the modification is completely optional. This will be a great way for everyone to share their ideas and be exposed to new flavors and techniques. I also encourage everyone to create their very own cookbook from the recipe sheets I provide each week. I will provide some ideas but the ultimate design is entirely up to you. I cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with. I will be checking in, encouraging you, and providing feedback along the way. If at any time you have questions you can post them on the classroom page and I will promptly provide an answer or suggestion. You can participate in the activities as much or as little as you wish but either way you will learn some great recipes to share with friends and family. The following is the schedule for the 4 classes: Class 1 - Pumpkin Muffins Class 2 - Banana Muffins Class 3 - Zucchini Bread Class 4 - Apple Crumb Muffins Optional - How to make your Cookbook I do not believe in making things that only look good so rest assured you will also enjoy eating your creations. Happy Baking! Notes: Parental guidance will be necessary during this class due to the age of the learners and the use of the oven, knives, and microwave. No prior experience is necessary for this class.

Parental guidance will be necessary during this class due to the age of the learners and the use of the oven, knives, and microwave. Some learners may also need assistance with measuring ingredients.
Allergies: The supply list section includes all ingredients. Please review if your child has any allergies.
YouTube: Links will be posted to allow learners to access my step by step instructional videos. Outschool embeds the links on its platform so that learners remain on the Outschool platform and do not access the YouTube website.

I have taught both live and prerecorded baking classes on Outschool for over 3 years. During this time I had the pleasure of helping over 900 kids from age 3 to 18 discover how much fun they can have in the kitchen. During the last 2 years I opened a bakery serving my local community. I have received an award for best desserts and sell out most weeks at my local farmers' market and events. I use many of the same recipes I teach in my classes in my bakery.
