In each class I will come with different questions, theories, articles, deleted scenes and character what ifs. We will discuss the books at length and go in the direction that the students lead. This is a chance for Keeper fans to discuss the book series with other fans. Please make sure that your student has read all of the books before attending this class. The books will be discussed at length and there will be many spoilers in each class. This class is dependent on student interaction. I will need at least 4 students in attendance to have class. The week of September 16th-- Book discussion week!! We will be discussing books 7, 8, and 8.5. Come for all the characters, drama, and wonder of the Keeper series. The week of October 21st-- UNRAVELED COMES OUT IN 6 WEEKS!!!!! We will discuss all things Unraveled. What we think will happen in the book and do a Keeper Kahoot on Stellarlune. The week of November 17th-- We will discuss all Keeper characters and abilities in-depth. Come prepared to discuss your favorites. We will also discuss holiday in the Keeper world. The week of December 1st-- Let's do a Keeper Kahoot to prepare for Unraveled! The week of January 12th-- We will be discussing all things Unraveled. Woohoo! This is the first novel completely from Keefe's point of view. The week of February 9th-- What are your favorite Keeper treats? Foxfire and Excillium are the only two school in the lost cities. What schools, trades, and subjects are they missing? What laws should be eliminated in the Lost Cities? What laws should they definitely keep? Does the government of the Lost Cities work? The week of March 16th-- Book study for books 1, 2, and 3.

This will be a fun class for Keeper of the Lost Cities fans to discuss the books they love on a monthly basis with other fans. We will use some literary elements in the classes, but it will mainly be an open discussion and meetup about the books the students love.

The Keeper of the Lost Cities books are generally very child friendly. There is some mild violence, but overall a good book series for younger students. Please refer to Common Sense Media for further guidance on the series.

I fell in love with the first Keeper of the Lost Cities book about 2 years ago and then shared the great story with my 4 daughters. Since then we have read all the books in the series multiple times, listened to the series on Audible, and gone to see Shannon Messenger in person and had her sign several of our books!
I graduated with a BA in English and Spanish for secondary school teaching. I have always loved reading and teaching book studies to students of all ages. I have taught English, Spanish, ESL and religion classes to students ages 7-18 in public school and private settings. I have taught many book studies to ages 8-17 including but not limited to-- The Old Man and the Sea, Revolution is Not a Dinner Party, Where the Red Fern Grows, The Red Badge of Courage, The Great Gatsby, The Outsiders, The Scarlet Letter, Tom Sawyer and others. I am currently teaching a Keeper of the Lost Cities book club on Outschool for ages 10-14. Reading is one of my passions and I love sharing that with my children and my students. 評論
