Students in this one-time presentation skills course will be assessed on their ability to deliver a confident and engaging presentation to their peers. The assessment will be based on a rubric that evaluates the following criteria: Organization: The ability to structure the presentation in a clear and logical manner, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Content: The ability to develop interesting and relevant ideas that are appropriate for the audience, and support them with examples and evidence. Delivery: The ability to use effective vocal and nonverbal communication techniques, including voice projection, eye contact, and body language, to engage the audience. Engagement: The ability to connect with the audience and maintain their interest throughout the presentation, through the use of humor, storytelling, and other engaging techniques. Overall Effectiveness: The ability to create a memorable and impactful presentation that effectively conveys the intended message and achieves its purpose. The rubric will be shared with students at the beginning of the class to provide clear expectations for assessment, and students will have the opportunity to practice their skills throughout the class before delivering their final presentation for assessment. In this interactive and engaging presentation skills class, you will learn how to deliver a confident and effective presentation that will leave a lasting impression. In this one time session we will go through the best practices of presenting on a topic and create an engaging presentation that can be shown to class. Students will leave with a better sense of how to engage an audience, create meaningful presentations with proper wording, use of graphics, and appropriate length. Your student will want to engage in this class through its Tik Tok style approach to presenting and their ability to take a stance on a "silly" topic that will be meaningful to them! My class is designed to help students build their confidence and develop their presentation skills in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. I am experienced in guiding students through the presentation process and will provide personalized feedback and support to help your student succeed. Additionally, I will provide clear instructions and guidelines to ensure that the presentation runs smoothly and all participants are respectful of each other's contributions.
