Students will discover and learn more about Juneteenth through art, cooking, listening, music, and reading. Student will recognize: Juneteenth Historical dates "The Emancipation Proclamation" "The Black National Anthem" Juneteenth celebrations and activities
I have taught several classes related to racism, segregation, prejudice, enslavement, and cooking on Outschool. I feel that Juneteenth is an often overlooked but significant holiday in American History. Traditionally Juneteenth has not been taught in the schools. This is an opportunity to have in-depth learning of a very significant holiday. I created a Juneteenth Activity Booklet that can be a keepsake.
