Week 1:  We will work on our Italian notebook.  Work on the map of Italy by learning about the regions and their different peculiarities. We will learn how to pronounce words. We will learn how to use practical Italian vocabulary while talking about food and daily activities.

Week 2: The best way to speak Italian is with its pronunciation. In this lesson, we will continue to cover the important aspect of sounding good when speaking Italian. Introduction to how to use words of politeness in phrases.   Review. 

Week 3: Learn vocabulary for the parts of the body, singular, and plural. We will learn how an adjective agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies.   Review.

Week 4: Introduction to the sounds: gli, sce-sci, sche-schi.  How to read and use them in Italian words. We will use tongue twisters to practice these sounds. Review. The Days of the Week.  Review. 

Week 5:  The weather. Vocabulary around the weather. The numbers CARDINALI, ORDINALI, e I numeri ROMANI. Review. 

Week 6:  I read in Italian! Practice what we have learned.

I don't assign homework, but I encourage doing something throughout the week, such as picking out an everyday object and then learning its name in Italian, or choosing a favorite subject we can translate while practicing vocabulary during the lesson
