I don't assign homework, but I encourage doing something throughout the week, such as picking out an everyday object and then learning its name in Italian, or choosing a favorite subject we can translate while practicing vocabulary during the lesson評估

課堂經歷
In this class, we will continue to build skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Italian while learning new vocabulary and expressions about everyday topics. Topics include food, travel, music, and daily activities. Students will practice conversation in Italian and pronunciation, grammar, and Italian culture. I will expose the students to the language in each class, encouraging students with games, music, and instructional videos. I am a patient, enthusiastic, positive, challenging, and motivating teacher. I always have a lesson plan, but I can be flexible if required ( I believe this to be important). Students will continue to learn to understand and communicate in Italian in a range of everyday situations, become more aware of the culture and diversity of Italy and its regions, and develop study skills to become a successful language learner.

Week 1: We will work on our Italian notebook. Work on the map of Italy by learning about the regions and their different peculiarities. We will learn how to pronounce words. We will learn how to use practical Italian vocabulary while talking about food and daily activities.
Week 2: The best way to speak Italian is with its pronunciation. In this lesson, we will continue to cover the important aspect of sounding good when speaking Italian. Introduction to how to use words of politeness in phrases. Review.
Week 3: Learn vocabulary for the parts of the body, singular, and plural. We will learn how an adjective agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies. Review.
Week 4: Introduction to the sounds: gli, sce-sci, sche-schi. How to read and use them in Italian words. We will use tongue twisters to practice these sounds. Review. The Days of the Week. Review.
Week 5: The weather. Vocabulary around the weather. The numbers CARDINALI, ORDINALI, e I numeri ROMANI. Review.
Week 6: I read in Italian! Practice what we have learned.

Hello! My name is Lucia, and I am an Italian and English language teacher. Born in Italy, I moved to the US as a child and made it my home. I am a native Italian speaker fluent in English, which I learned as a second language. Drawing from my own bilingual journey, I'm eager to share the effective tools and tips that helped me master English.
For the past 15 years, I have refined my teaching methodology through a variety of class settings and educational environments. My expertise includes a diverse range of tailored courses: language and cultural immersion for children aged 6-12; interactive sessions that combine Italian language lessons with cultural and culinary experiences for all ages; conversational Italian classes tailored to individual needs; academic lectures at Lake Michigan College; and foundational Italian at Lincoln Elementary School.
Additionally, I have taught English to my children and now extend this legacy to the new generation of my family, providing online lessons to my grandchildren and nephews in Italy.
