課堂經歷
This class is just specifically about Christmas in Italy and understanding how to say some Christmas terms in Italian. Homeworks are optional. This class costs more than my other Italian for Kids series because I give many more print outs of coloring sheets, crafts, pdfs of vocabulary, etc. Day 1: Learn how to say some colors & Happy Christmas in Italian; Learn how to say Santa, Elves, Fairy, Snowman, and Christmas Tree; and look at some photographs of Italy during the holidays Homework:...
The goal of this class is to get students interested in learning Italian with a 5-day camp course or to learn about a holiday and terms around that holiday for those interested and already taken Italian courses.
I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. In high school, I took Spanish, and at university, I took up through Intermediate level in Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn Italian language by making it fun and engaging through my teaching style, print offs, and Quizlets games. I have been teaching basic through intermediate Italian courses for over 3 years involving basic conversation skills, grammar (present indicative, passato prossimo, conjugating verbs with pronouns, adjectives reflecting the correct the-- as there are 7 the's in Italian, and more), as well as vocabulary and fairytale reading classes to make the language to come to life in a fun way.

We will discuss some Christmas traditions of Italy including the Nativity, Santa, and Befana (a good witch) from this PowerPoint: https://www.twinkl.com/resource/t-t-2548813-christmas-in-italy-powerpoint Although the Nativity is mentioned, I am mentioning this through a secular, historical perspective that this is a part of Italy's traditions of what they believe and how they celebrate through decorations, dinner, desserts, and more. External links: 1. Students may be given Quizlet links to review material. If they would like to review and save scores with Quizlet, they will need an account with Quizlet. 2. Twinkl, an education resource, will be shared to show how some crafts are supposed to look. They do not need an account for this. 3. YouTube links will be given to help them review/ practice the Christmas Italian song or have a tutorial for a craft assignment. They do not need an account for this.
