投資、通貨膨脹和股票市場（含遊戲）

Students will learn why people choose to invest their money.  We will discuss some of the ways investing can occur and talk about saving and borrowing.  We will look at the banking system and interest rates.  Finally, we will discuss personal risk tolerance levels and couple that with decisions like investing in the stock market.

Students will have an opportunity to participate in an online stock simulation game, which will give them an idea of what is it like to invest in stocks.  There will be two live sessions, but they will be spaced out (about a month apart) to allow time for the students to play the game.   Students may spend as much or as little time playing the stock market game as they desire. 

During the second session we will explore the issue of inflation and talk about the characteristics of money supply.  The class includes a discussion of purchasing power and how inflation influences investments.  Also, students will have a chance to discuss their performance in the stock simulation game.
