At the end of this 6-week course, students should be able to introduce themselves and talk about where they are from. They should also know the alphabet and the numbers from 1-10. This course will also serve as a pre-requisite to Introduction to Modern Greek 102 - Learning to Speak
I am a Greek native, fluent in Modern Greek, and trained in the Greek educational system. I immigrated to the USA in 2007 and became a citizen in 2019. I have two Bachelor of Arts and an MFA from American private universities. I speak English fluently and can answer any questions a student might have on the coursework material. I have designed an extensive, 7 Level curriculum based on the highest standards of education used in "Greek as a Second Language" as well as "Greek as a Foreign Language" programs.
A small, 8x10 whiteboard and marker, to help the student practice their writing skills in the classroom. Many times the students will be asked to share with the class their Greek letter penmanship or spell a vocabulary word. A whiteboard will help them write big letters, easily visible to the camera. *Can be found at any Dollar Store or Amazon.com
