Ohh hey der! How arr ya? In this class, students will get an overview of the Midwestern accent/dialect, and how to implement it while speaking. We will review most commonly used articulators, key sounds, ways in, and best practices for speaking in a Midwestern Dialect. The class is taught in a workshop style, eg. part lecture, part call and response. Depending on the student's experience, we may dive deeper into dialectical work and start on Midwest variations! :) No prior experience is necessary. Any previous dialect experiences will be built upon.
學習目標
Students will walk away with key awareness of the Midwest Dialect. They will be able to say short translated phrases, as well as know how to adjust phrases not practiced in class.
