Hello and thank you for checking out my class on Ancient Greece! This is a beginner class and it is very basic. We travel through Greece learning about the geography/architecture, the culture, the people and the many stories based on mythology. We take a look through virtual tours, games, videos and more activities. This is a very hands on class where students are engaged throughout the entire course. Students will learn about the geography and architecture of Ancient Greece Students will create their own God based on information learned in class Students will understand where Democracy comes from and relate it to modern governments around the world Students will learn about the various roles people played in Ancient Greek society.
I have been teaching Middle School students for 13 years. I've taught ELA, World History, Geography, and Civics. I am currently teaching 7th and 8th grade American History and Civics in Chicago. I hold a BA in Secondary Education. I majored in History and minored in English. I am certified for secondary teaching in the state of IL with endorsements in World History, American History, English, ELA and Geography. I have had extensive training on sensitive topics, such as women's rights, slavery and racism.
