The harmonica is a small instrument with a big sound! In this class we will learn the basic breathing techniques, how to play single notes, how to bend notes, and how to jam the blues! In addition we will learn some history of the blues and of blues harmonica; and blues music theory. Once the class is done, I will guide you to additional resources in your musical journey. No previous musical experience required. Please bring a simple 10-hole diatonic harmonica in "C". The cheapest one...
Students will learn about the history and culture of the blues, and how easy it is to jam the blues on the harmonica. Once they have just this one class, they will be able to put on a free blues backing track and jam as long as they want!
Andrew Bishko, M.M., is a master music teacher who is committed to making music accessible to all.
