Students will participate in a cooking competition similar to the popular Netflix show - Nailed It only we are cooking and not baking. If you want to bake, be sure to check out my class Bake It or Fake It. For this class, the recipe will be shared during class and, in class, students will have a set amount of time to create their dinner recipe. Ingredients list will be sent out a few days prior to class. Once the meal is cooked, we will have a showdown at the end to reveal the final...
Learn the art of cooking by creating delicious dinner meals Practice following a recipe by mixing ingredients. This will show them specific math and science skills. Gain safety tips in the kitchen Creativity!
I love cooking and baking! I have been doing both for over 15 years. I started out helping my mom and dad make meals. My sister and I used to have cooking shows and pretended to have our own restaurant. Currently, I am a mom of 2 boys and am always making something in the kitchen. Like all kids, they go through picky stages and I have to get creative. I love experimenting with new recipes and baked goods. I have a lifestyle blog where I occasionally release recipes, as well.
Ingredients will be sent out a few days prior to class and the recipe will be shared during class. Tools all classes will need: Mixing bowls Measuring cups and spoons Spatula or spoon to mix
This is a hands on baking class so your child will be using the oven and other kitchen utensils. Please make sure your student is aware of how to use an oven and kitchen utensils such as measuring spoons, cups, mixer, and potentially a microwave.
