課堂經歷
Using the book, "Harold and the Purple Crayon" as inspiration, students listen to a read-aloud by the teacher and then will use paper shapes to stimulate their imaginations in an open ended art project. "Harold and the Purple Crayon" is a 1955 children's book by Crockett Johnson, it is a beloved classic in my home. My children loved reading this book over and over, and it's the perfect book to incorporate a craft art project. Children will have fun moving the shapes around to create a picture, during the process they will learn to think creatively, independently and imaginative. Students will learn about the physical limitations and possibilities of the materials for the craft. Students learn to gain confidence and realize their own ideas with this fun craft project!
學習目標
-Students will use shapes to stimulate their imaginations and create a unique image.
-Students will use crayons to draw details that will complete their images.
-Students will practice gluing skills.

My Nature Journaling class developed organically with my love and passion for teaching and the outdoors and I am so excited for this Outschool Platform to share it with you! My Lego club classroom is much the same, life with 3 boys - need I say more?! I believe in incorporating visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinesthetic learning opportunities in my teaching units for interesting lessons and material retention. I believe children learn best when they are connected, having fun and engaged. It's an exciting journey and I am so happy to teach your children along side of my own children!
A little more about me: I love helping children learn and discover the world around them. My strengths are exploring and learning through Science, Arts, Reading and Nature. I have extensive experience working with children with special needs and learning challenges which has allowed me to teach content engaging and relevant keeping the interest of all learners! As a mother and teacher of three bright and beautiful children, I understand the importance and need for quality education and appreciate that we have platforms in which we can make those important choices. I am honoured you have trusted me with aiding in your child's life long learning journey. I hope my classes help inspire, educate and and ignite passion in your children for years to come.
