Students will learn reading skills, listening skills, and art skills as they complete a craft for the class. Students will hear me read the story If You Take a Mouse To School by Laura Numeroff to them. I will share the pictures from the book. I will show the children how to complete a simple craft project step by step. No background knowledge is required as I will be reading the story. It would be helpful the children are familiar with using children's scissors for craft time. Some parent assistance may be needed during craft time if not. Progress is evaluated by their level of excitement for the story and craft!!

Your child has the option to follow me along in the book. If You Take A Mouse To School. You can grab a copy on Amazon.com for around $11.00 US or under. This is totally optional. I am including a printable PDF download packet for our arts and crafts time after storytime. You will also need children's scissors and crayons. I encourage your child to bring a stuffed animal to storytime.

I am a homeschool mom and childcare professional. I have owned and operated a childcare business for over 12 years and have been homeschooling my daughter for 8 years.
