During this 3 week class, we will discuss 3 I Survived books including Lauren Tarshis' newest I Survived book. Students will be able to share their opinions and thoughts about each of these books during our class. Students will also be able to learn more about the history surrounding the events that each I Survived book explores. I will explain the historical context of each event and how the event has changed our world that we live in today. Discussion is one of my favorite tools to use in...
Each of the highlighted weekly I Survived book contains information about a real event that some students could find upsetting. The I Survived books do a wonderful job of sharing real information without overwhelming a student. I would advise parents to evaluate if a class with this subject material might be uncomfortable for their student. Please feel free to message me with any questions you might have about these books.
