In this class, young learners will identify beginning letter sounds k, q, and v. We will explore letter sounds during our "I Spy" game using common objects and animals. Using a Montessori-inspired approach, we will focus on the sound of each letter. This encourages each learner to learn the meaning of a letter compared to its letter name. In this class we will learn letter sounds first. An example is, "I Spy with my little eye something that starts with.....vvv. violin!" We will incorporate...
Learners will be able to say beginning letter sounds k, q, and v. They will begin to identify words and objects that go with the sound. Finally, they will be able to identify beginning letter sounds in their own home environment.
