Students must take my section on the skeleton FIRST- See active sections or REQUEST a class time here: Minumum of 3 students required In this lecture-based 3 part lesson, students will learn the basics of our joints. We will go over the joint's movements and discuss how each one is different from the others. Students will also learn the structure and purpose of our joints. We will discuss some common and not-so-common joint dysfunctions and injuries related to joints. I will use an app so...
1. Students will learn why our joints are important, the difference between tendons and ligaments and why they are different. 2. Students will get a better understanding of anatomy and joint structures. 3. Students will learn about injuries and diseases that effect our joints.
I have a bachelor's degree in exercise science, 15 years of experience as a massage therapist and 3 years as a yoga instructor. I have also taken 2 courses of advanced anatomy and physiology that consisted of cadaver labs.

Attached is an anatomy coloring book for students to familiarize themselves with the systems we will be working with. It contains male and female genitalia however, it is strictly anatomical and will be discussed using medical terminology. The students will be referred to the pages that we are discussing in this chapter. I think this is a great book that they can use in many other anatomy classes. Please let me know if there is a problem with this and I can attempt to only send out the necessary pages. (it is a PDF doc and not easy to separate)
I use Kenhub for photos as well as basic anatomy books from my extensive collection to confirm material prior to this course. https://www.kenhub.com/
