In this basic drawing class, we will demonstrate and practice drawing the human face in a fun and engaging way. We will learn how to draw a face using an average placement of features. The proportions we will use are that of a teenage or adult face. Of course, every person has unique features that don't fit within this structure, so we will also show how to adjust the scale when drawing a specific person. We will practice techniques that will make it fun and easy to draw faces. The camera...

I have always enjoyed art. I spent my high school years in the art classroom as much as my school would allow. In college, I studied Studio Art, learning from the best. For more than a decade, I have been teaching children and teens on a weekly basis, and I love every moment of it.
Supplies: Students will only need a graphite pencil (preferably a sharpened wooden pencil, not a mechanical pencil), an eraser, and 3-5 sheets of white paper.
