Supplies needed:

* Paper (I would recommend mixed media paper or a thicker paper that will be able to hold the paint better) 
* Pencil, eraser, black Sharpie (needs to be a permanent marker so that it doesn't smear when water is applied)
* Cup or small bowl with water (something sturdy that will not tip over when a paintbrush is in it)
* Paint brush(es) (a variety of sizes is nice for the students to choose from)
* Paint (tempera or watercolor paint would work for this project)
* Paint palette to pour and mix paint (could use a paper plate, wax paper, foil, etc)
*Something round to trace for the outside of the donut (a jar lid, small bowl, masking tape roll, etc.)
* Paper towels
* Glue bottle and glitter are optional, but always a fun addition to this project!

Paint can be messy. Please make sure your child has a place to work that has a protected surface (cardboard, plastic table cloth, etc.) or is working in a space where you don't mind them painting.
