The basics of piano skills and technique will be taught. Learners will play simple songs using the music alphabet letter names. This will give learners a good foundation for reading notes on the staff later on. Topics covered include: Identifying/playing the sets of 2 and 3 black keys on the piano, identifying/playing the white keys, identifying high, middle and low sounds on the piano. Class Structure: Short intro of new concepts. Demonstration by teacher through webcam and visuals displayed...
Students will learn the basics of piano. Students will identify the sets of 2 and 3 black keys and the white keys on the piano. Students will learn the basic technique of how to sit at the piano and play the keys. Students will learn the music or piano alphabet. Students will learn and play simple songs on the piano.
Music files must be downloaded and/or printed out before each class. If not printing the materials, please make sure they are accessible on a device during class. If printing out music, please organize this in a 3 ring binder or folder. Learner needs paper or a spiral notebook and pencil for each class.
