課堂經歷

This class is a special club for homeschoolers to meet and connect with other homeschoolers. We all need community and to feel heard. This is a chance for homeschoolers to share their ideas and hear the ideas of others. 

A conversation will be lead "sharing circle" style to give everyone an opportunity to speak without interruption. Learners will be asked engaging questions and invited to share their thoughts and ideas. While others share their ideas, learners are asked to listen quietly and save comments and questions until the speaker is finished. After everyone has shared their response, learners may then choose to ask follow-up questions or comment respectfully on another learner's idea. 

Learners are welcome to bring writing materials to help remember ideas and questions.

Examples of questions:

What are you most grateful for right now? 
What is your favorite thing about yourself? 
Who do you admire and why? 
What is something you are curious about? 
If you could have one super power, what would it be?

If time allows, we might play a relaxed game for the last 10 minutes.

Students will have the opportunity to practice speaking and active listening.

Hi! I'm Kalika. 

I teach yoga and meditation. I am a homeschooling mom to my amazing 11 year old daughter. 

I studied yoga and meditation at the ShambhavAnanda School of Yoga in Colorado. I continue to practice everyday because yoga and meditation help my body and my mind feel their best. 

Yoga and meditation give us tools to help manage stress and to calm our minds. It also helps to stretch and strengthen our bodies. 

I love to play music and make up fun yoga songs.
