In this 5th Grade Math class, learners will review the 5th math curriculum standards.
This is an ongoing class and learners can subscribe and unsubscribe weekly.

The teacher that will be teaching this class is Mr. Daniel. Mr. Daniel is a Math major with years of experience teaching all Math grade levels. He will be using his own curriculum that follows the education standards for the grade level.

Each class will stand alone and will not build. 

This class will be structured as follows:

Introduction and rules briefly
Supplies check (make sure all learners are prepared for class)

Week of August 29th
Operations and Algebraic Thinking
Learners will Write and interpret numerical expressions and analyze patterns and relationships.

Week of September 5
Number and Operations in Base Ten
Learners will understand the place value system and perform operations with multi-digit whole numbers and with decimals to hundredths.

Week of September 12
Number and Operations—Fractions
Learners will use equivalent fractions as a strategy to add and subtract fractions and apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication and division to multiply and divide fractions.

Week of September 19
Measurement and Data
Learners will convert like measurement units within a given measurement system.
Represent and interpret data.
Geometric measurement: understand concepts of volume and relate volume to multiplication and to addition.

For this class, learners will need just a pencil and a notebook or binder.
