For over 10 years we have worked with Early Childhood aged homeschoolers in a microschool co-op Ms. Iman started. Our curriculum is engaging, project-based, and sparks wonder in our students. Our curriculum covers the following: 🌈Language Arts Skills 🌈 Math Skills 🌈Social Emotional Skills 🌈Vocabulary Skills 🌈Writing Skills 🌈Science & Sensory Skills 🌈Reading Comprehension Skills During this class students will be able to build connections and friendships with peers while having fun learning all the skills they need to know before 2nd Grade. Our courses are short and done with very small groups of learners so students can really have the chance to have the attention of the teacher. Each class covers the following Day 1: Math Day 2: English Language Arts Day 3: Stem Here is the week by week breakdown of classes Week 1 Day 1 Math "Topic A Embedded Numbers and Decompositions" Lesson 1 Analyze and describe embedded numbers (to 10) using 5-groups and number bonds. "Lesson 3 See and describe numbers of objects using 1 more within 5-group configurations. " "Topic B Counting On from Embedded Numbers" Lessons 6-7 Represent put together situations with number bonds. Count on from one embedded number or part to totals of 8 and 9, and generate all expressions for each total. "Topic C Addition Word Problems " "Lesson 11 Solve add to with change unknown math stories as a context for counting on by drawing, writing equations, and making statements of the solution." "Topic D Strategies for Counting On" Lessons 14-15 Count on up to 3 more using numeral and 5-group cards and fingers to track the change. "Topic E The Commutative Property of Addition and the Equal Sign " "Lessons 17-18 Understand the meaning of the equal sign by pairing equivalent expressions and constructing true number sentences." "Topic F Development of Addition Fluency Within 10" Lesson 21 Visualize and solve doubles and doubles plus 1 with 5-group cards. Lesson 24 Practice to build fluency with facts to 10. "Topic H Subtraction Word Problems " Lesson 28 Solve take from with result unknown math stories with math drawings, true number sentences, and statements, using horizontal marks to cross off what is taken away. Lesson 29 Solve take apart with addend unknown math stories with math drawings, equations, and statements, circling the known part to find the unknown. "Topic I Decomposition Strategies for Subtraction " Lesson 33 Model 0 less and 1 less pictorially and as subtraction number sentences. Lesson 36 Relate subtraction from 10 to corresponding decompositions. "Topic J Development of Subtraction Fluency Within 10 " Lesson 38 Look for and make use of repeated reasoning and structure, using the addition chart to solve subtraction problems. Lesson 39 Analyze the addition chart to create sets of related addition and subtraction facts. "Topic A Counting On or Making Ten to Solve Result Unknown and Total Unknown Problems" Lesson 1.Solve word problems with three addends, two of which make ten. Lesson 2 Use the associative and commutative properties to make ten with three addends. "Topic B Counting On or Taking from Ten to solve Result Unknown and Total Unknown Problems" Lessons 12–13 Solve word problems with subtraction of 9 from 10. Lessons 14–15 Model subtraction of 9 from teen numbers. "Topic C Strategies for Solving Change or Addend Unknown Problems " Lesson 22 Solve put together/take apart with addend unknown word problems, and relate counting on to the take from ten strategy. Subtract 7, 8, and 9 from teen numbers. Mathseeds is an online learning program that is optional for use for this course. Students get a free account with this course after a week of sign up. This is completely optional and up to the parent if they choose to use it at home.

Our proven curriculum has influences from Montessori, Reggio, Waldorf and other self directed educational philosophies.
