During this one time class, students will whip up a batch of homemade dough using simple ingredients. The addition of Kool Aid adds a vibrant color and a WONDERFUL smell. Yum! This dough is NOT edible, but wonderful for sensory and fun STEAM play! During class we will start with a short introduction of all learners, we will review materials and ingredients, then we will dive in to the experiment. This is a great opportunity for students to truly be hands on, doing measuring, counting, working...
Kool Aid Modeling Dough Ingredients 1 cup flour ½ cup HOT water (can use a glass liquid measuring cup and heat for 1 minute, or until bubbles form, prior to class) ¼ cup table salt 1 packet Kool-Aid (any flavor) 1 Tbsp baby oil (or any cooking oil) Materials Large Mixing Bowl 1 cup dry measuring cup 1/4 cup dry measuring cup Wooden spoon or other large spoon for mixing
