In this ongoing weekly club, students will meet with other history lovers to learn more about the amazing past. Each week will be a different topic as we travel back in time to explore people, events, and places! Every week, we will meet to discuss some awesome, historical topics. Journey with us as we travel back in time! Each class will give a clear background of the topic so students will leave understanding the significance of each place, event, or person. Students are encouraged to keep a record of each week to create their own history encyclopedia. Some questions that will be addressed each class: For people- Who were they? What did they do? Why do we remember them? For places- Where is it? What is it like? How was it created? Who lived there or what did they use it for? For events- When did it happen? Where did it happen? What were the results of the event? This will be a virtual fieldtrip throughout time to see and learn about some of the amazing pieces of the past! Round One: Week One- Ancient Egypt and the Pyramids Week Two - China and the Great Wall Week Three - Leonardo da Vinci Week Four- Machu Pichu Week Five - Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad Week Six- The Colosseum in Rome Week Seven - William Shakespeare and the Globe Theater Week Eight - Petra, Jordan Week Nine- Taj Mahal, India Week Ten- The Renaissance Week Eleven - The Olympics Week Twelve - Yellowstone National Park, US Week Thirteen - The Black Plague Week Fourteen- The Silk Road Week Fifteen- Joan of Arc Week Sixteen- Suleiman the Magnificent Week Seventeen- Aurora Borealis Week Eighteen - The Great Barrier Reef Week Nineteen- Nelson Mandela Week Twenty - Anne Frank Round Two- TBA This is a beginners class, so no prior knowledge needed. All classes will be delivered with vivid and interactive presentation and class discussions. Students are encouraged to share their ideas and questions to create a collaborative experience.

For the past decade, I have been encouraging students through education and personal development to explore the challenges of the past. Through my own personal education and professional development, I create a safe environment for students to learn about challenging topics of the past. My undergraduate is in history, focusing on United States and European integration, past cultures, and empire. My first master's degree is in education with a focus on English/Language Arts and History. My second master's degree is in history with a focus on world empires and United States/Europe during the premodern era and modern era. I am currently pursuing my PhD in history focusing on immigration and relations with indigenous peoples and cultures.
I have taught Ancient Civilizations in World History classes as well as classes on the history of Africa, Asia, and Australia, Ancient and Medieval Europe, and Early American history. I have taken and taught classes on world religions and practices starting with the ancient traditions of prehistoric cultures through modern day transitions of religions such as druidism. I have also taught about episodes of religious hysteria such as the Inquisition and the Salem Witch Trials. I also teach classes on the myths and legends that have defined these cultures. This extensive background will be utilized to create a well-rounded and thorough explanation of the topic.評論
