In this one time class, students are going to be introduced to the personal and professional life of Kamala Harris. The students are going to be asked to take notes on attributes or any common characteristics and accomplishments they have similar with Kamala. The students are going to learn the role of the Vice President and how Kamala has made history already so early in her career as Vice President. We are going to discuss our hopes for the future of our country and what we want to see...
The students will learn about Kamala Harris' life both personal and professional. Students will make connections to Kamala and their own lives. Students will learn what a president and vice president does. Student will set their own goals or will share their ambitions. Students will create a poster for their own nomination for a career in a political position.
Notebook paper Pencil Blank Paper to make a poster (you can use printer paper, or larger paper) Markers, crayons, colored pencils. Any decorative pieces they would like to put on their poster.
