In this one time class we will predict and problem solve with Harold as we accompany him on his adventure to the North Pole when we read Crockett Johnson's, "Harold at the North Pole" together. We will meet and greet the first few minutes of class so everyone gets comfortable, make predictions about who and what Harold might see in the North Pole, read our story and use our listening and observation skills as we help Harold find solutions for helping Santa. Students will strengthen literacy and listening skills, and prediction, problem solving and observation skills and will practice fine motor work using their imaginations to re-create some of the many surprises Harold finds in the North Pole with the drawing sheets provided for enrolled learners.
