In Happy Houseplants: Indoor Care Basics, students will embark on an exciting journey to become plant care experts! This hands-on class is designed for kids ages 8-12 and focuses on essential plant care techniques, including how to water, prune, repot, and clean indoor plants. Each session will be filled with engaging activities that allow learners to apply what they've learned directly to their own plants. Class Experience What will be taught? Students will learn the fundamentals of plant care, including: - Proper watering techniques - Pruning methods to encourage healthy growth - Repotting plants for optimal growth - Cleaning leaves to keep plants healthy What topics will you cover? Throughout the course, we will cover: - The importance of each care technique - Types of indoor plants and their specific needs - Tools and materials needed for plant care - Fun facts about plants and their benefits How is your class structured? - The class will be structured into weekly sessions, each lasting approximately 40 minutes. - Each session will feature a combination of instruction, hands-on activities, and group discussions, allowing students to share their experiences and tips. How will you teach? - My teaching style is interactive and supportive, encouraging students to ask questions and share their thoughts. - I will use my own plants to demonstrate care techniques, providing real-life examples that make learning engaging and relatable. - This hands-on approach allows students to see the techniques in action, enhancing their understanding and skills as they apply what they learn to their own plants.
