🎁 Use promo code STEAMgift3 for $3 off any of my classes. 🎃 Join us this October for a chilling Minecraft adventure as we build our haunted Minecraft Bedrock world, engineer eerie mini-games, collaborate and create our own horror-themed map with a certified, Minecraft educator and likeminded-peers. * Weekly projects are learner-driven, with support for Minecraft STEAM skills and social interactions. We’ll use the Backrooms texture pack for extra chills and potentially Realism Craft’s dynamic world features. This experience is not a fit for learners sensitive to horror themes. * To join my private, secure, Minecraft Bedrock, class time only, world once enrolled, share your gamer tag with me privately in an Outschool conversation message and friend me in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. * Respect for all players, and their items and creations, is essential to create a safe space and is an expectation. Learners looking to grief (trick, trap, block, break or take from other players, harm other player's animals, lag (ex. auto clicking, over spawning), trying to crash, or destroy our Minecraft world or class experience, are not a fit for this class. Learners can choose game modes as they prefer. * I am attentive, supportive, empowering, and continually strive for inclusion. Notes: *Minecraft Bedrock Edition with multiplayer and cross-platform online play permissions toggled on is needed to join our class server. This is the Edition called Minecraft that is available on Windows 11 PC, iPads, Fire tablets, Switch, Xbox, and mobile devices. *Gamer tag names need to be shared privately before class and Minecraft friend requesting with this educator is needed to participate in this Minecraft class private world. *Participation is during our class time only while also in our Outschool Zoom classroom. *This Minecraft class uses the Backrooms texture pack with expressed written permission from the Minecraft creators at GoE-Craft and the Realism Craft dynamic world may be used with permission from Spark Universe.

As a neurodivergent person myself, and an experienced, highly trained & certified educator, I create my classes to be especially neurodiverse inclusive for learners with dyslexia, autism ASD, 2e, gifted, ADHD, & PDA. Homeschool friendly.

• This class is focused on offering a space for Minecraft playing learners who wish to create spooky, scary, haunted, horror style builds in Minecraft Bedrock Edition and therefore a great fit for learners who enjoy the scarier, horror style of builds and gaming. This class is not a fit for learners who are sensitive to horror builds and extra scary textured Minecraft mobs. Other horror games will be mentioned by learners as they connect over shared interests.
• Minecraft Bedrock Edition must be used, with multiplayer and cross-platform online play permissions toggled on. Bedrock Edition is available on Windows 11 PC, iPads, Fire tablets, Switch, Xbox, and mobile devices.
• Mutual Minecraft Bedrock friending for class is required to participate in this weekly class as this is necessary for participation in the class private world. Share gamer tag names privately through our Outschool conversation thread with me before the class begins.
• Participation is allowed only during the scheduled class time. Ensure simultaneous presence in the Outschool Zoom classroom during Minecraft class activities.
• Inclusion is key within our Outschool Zoom classroom and respecting the unique creations of each player, in our multiplayer private class world in Minecraft. We stand united against Minecraft griefing. No tricking or trapping fellow players, and no taking of other's items or pets, no destroying each other's build creations or animals. No intentional actions to cause a negative experience within Minecraft such as intentional over spawning, auto clicking, or attempts to lag or crash our Minecraft world. Together, we build a collaborative haven where every learner and their items and creations are valued and celebrated.
• Communication is welcomed, including the Outschool classroom Zoom using voice/microphone, Zoom video (which can be on or off once learner camera check in is completed), Zoom chat text, Minecraft chat text, and avatar actions in the game. Learners are given multiple options to engage, and digital hand raising is helpful when needed.
• To maintain a positive atmosphere in our Outschool Zoom meeting, I will take care to hold space for learners, occasionally using muting to facilitate focus or address background conversations or distracting noises. The goal is to empower learners to express themselves comfortably and respectfully in a collaborative learning space.
• Learners may choose to utilize a small group Zoom breakout room. Breakout rooms are optional and allow close collaboration with peers on projects and quests. Learners have control to join, ask for help, communicate, and leave a breakout room at any time. I monitor the breakout room as well.
• Class video recordings are not shared in social gaming classes to respect and protect all learners.
• All learners will need to be in the Outschool classroom to participate in our class Minecraft map. Learners have access to this map on my private server during our Outschool class time.
• Minecraft contains cartoon type violence without blood or gore.
