課堂經歷
Your learner will learn through repetition, sounding the words out, and through singing songs from English to Haitian Creole. This is a fun class where we will respect one another and take turns to repeat the letters, words, & short sentences. I will say the word in Haitian Creole, your learner will repeat it together with me. Then they will repeat the word by themselves in Creole twice. By the end of the few weeks, your learner will have learned Haitian Creole! Please have your learner devote at least one 20 minutes intervals every day to go through the recording of each class to practice how to properly pronounce the words. Please have your learner be on time and ready for each class because I start right on time. Your learner will have some homework: Change words from English to Haitian Creole and visa versa & write sentences in Haitian Creole.
***This class will take place only if there are a total of at least 2 students enrolled***
Week One: Greetings/Common Expressions
Review (Assign homework: Create a simple dialogue)
Prepositions
Week Two: Pronouns/Review
Verbs
Grammar/Sentence stucture
Week Three: Common Descriptive Words/ Review (Assign homework: 8 sentences)
Song: Nou se monde lan (Homework: learn & practice the song & be ready to sing it next class)
Numbers/Colors
Week Four: Family & Friends (Classwork: Change sentences from Creole to English)
Alphabet
Fry Plantains/Chit Chat

Parents, I am advising you of potential hazards, which includes the use of a stove, oven, knives, and other tools needed while cooking these dishes. Please parents be present when class is going on & work with your child to make these dishes. Give your child tasks that they can do.

I am Haitian and I love my language. I think it is beautiful and I would love it if many others can learn Haitian Creole. I know how to read it, speak it, and write it. I know that it is better for students to learn a language in 20 minutes intervals with 5 extra minutes to review what was taught in the previous class. My class is fun and engaging because of how I approach each week and incorporate songs in Haitian Creole. I also give lots of praise to my students and push them gently to try harder when they make a mistake. Your 7 to 9 year old child will have fun while they learn this beautiful language! 評論
