In this 30-minute course, we will define habitat and cover the basic needs of plants and animals within a habitat. Basic needs covered are water, space, shelter, food, and sun. After learning the basic needs, we will go on a scavenger hunt for items around the home. Students will be able to relate an item to the need of a plant or animal. This hands-on course is fun, promotes creativity, and gets students moving! There are no PowerPoints in this course. I will bring materials for examples...
Students will be introduced to the term habitat and be able to understand the basic needs of plants and animals within a habitat.
Anything for building a small structure: Legos Jenga pieces Blocks Popsicle sticks *There will be an email sent for other examples to have available, but not in arms length as we will be using these for a scavenger hunt. Most items are already found around the home. Printable worksheet upon enrollment.
