課堂經歷

Students will learn gymnastics terminology and basic skills, and improve their coordination, strength, and flexibility.  
In addition to being a former competitive gymnast, I have over 20 years' experience coaching gymnastics for children of all ages at the recreational and competitive level. I have created gymnastics curriculum and taught thousands of children the fundamentals of gymnastics, my favorite sport!

Students will be encouraged to exercise for one hour daily, always with adult supervision.

Students will receive informal assessments throughout the semester, and a written assessment at the end of the semester with recommendations for the future.

Required:
Clear open space
Soft floor surface
Roll of masking tape (for hand and foot markers, line on floor for balance)
Couch cushion
Chair against a wall or couch without cushion
Step stool 

Optional:
Panel mat
Wedge mat
Padded wall

As with any sport of physical activity, gymnastics carries a risk of injury. Minimize this risk with a clear open space, appropriate clothing and equipment, and adult supervision.
