課堂經歷
Students will learn 10 essential elements for delivering a great public speech. My approach is a form of edutainment that educates children by keeping them entertained through fun and relatable material. I will foster an inclusive and respectful environment where all students feel welcomed and are not positioned to compete with one another but to deliver their best effort. The class is structured with a lesson on a skill, which is followed the next week by a presentation. After their presentation, they will receive specific feedback that they will then incorporate into redoing a portion of their speech on the spot. They will constantly be engaged through exercises and discussions. Students discover how to provide effective and constructive feedback, through the sandwich approach, that will equip them with an important life skill. The course is designed in a practical and cerebral manner to serve their needs in real-world scenarios such as running for student council and applying for a job. Most importantly, it prepares them for leadership roles by having them deliver speeches for a global audience as well as teaching them how to use speech to advocate and persuade..

Introduction to Public Speaking
My lesson will provide an overview of the 10 important speech skills to master, why public speaking is important, some tools to manage nerves and anxiety, and how to structure a speech. 70 分鐘線上直播課

How to create a hook and a call to action for your speeches
My lesson is about elevating their speech by including a hook, aka attention getter, to capture their audience's attention as well as how to conclude their speech with a specific call to action. 70 分鐘線上直播課

Presentations
This class will focus on presenting their speech/s, which they will be evaluated on, receive feedback regarding, and redo, focusing on incorporating the feedback to enhance the quality of their speech. They will be assessed on all 10 public speaking components, but special attention will be paid to the inclusion of a hook and a call to action. 70 分鐘線上直播課

How to evoke inflection and emotion into your speech
My lesson will provide an explanation, examples, and exercises that illustrate how to incorporate inflection and emotion into their speech to emphasize key points as well as mechanisms to engage the audience. 70 分鐘線上直播課
